Aimee Austin

Certified Massage Therapist

Aimee came to massage therapy twelve years ago after earning her bachelor’s degree in psychology: “I have always been drawn to the mind–body connection,” she says.

Aimee’s massage education began with a year of study at the National Holistic Institute; she has since become a Reiki master – “I love energy work,” she says – and studied Zen Body Therapy, among other modalities. Aimee’s practice started in spa environments, with a focus on relaxation. But having been an athlete her entire life – she’s raced motorcycles and mountain bikes, among many other sports – and after working with a body worker to heal herself after a bad cycling accident, Aimee developed a more therapeutic approach.

Aimee’s style is to have a lighter touch, albeit the effects are profound,  leading to structural changes that get to the core of pain and injuries. “I work to switch holding patterns,” she says. “I focus on rebalancing and realignment. I love being on that healing journey with people; this feels like my calling.”
