How do I start?
A) Schedule a complimentary tour & consultation of our facilities then schedule a 2 hour comprehensive fitness assessment to measure various aspects of your body and its abilities.
B) What is a fitness assessment?
- Body Balance’s 2 hour comprehensive fitness assessment identifies your current fitness levels and serves as a baseline or starting point of your body’s fitness level. We can use the fitness assessment to figure out your training needs and goals.
What is the difference between a gym and your boutique fitness studio?
A) Gyms are typically a one-size-fits-all, while Body Balance has a more integrated & balanced approach to health & fitness. We are speciallized & offer individualized programs tailored to fit your specific goals by utilizing our personalized services of Fitness, Massage, & Nutrition.
B) All our sessions are held in private rooms with personal attention focused on your one-on-one personal training, nutritional coaching and therapeutic massage.
How does your pricing work?
Depending on how often you train per week, we charge you for monthly sessions and reward you with discounts for being consistent for the month. There are no rollover sessions.
How often should I come in to train?
The American Council of Sports Medicine recommends 150-300 minutes weekly of cardiovascular training, 2-3 days a week minimum of resistance training, and stretching & flexible daily.
* We at Body Balance recommend starting with at least 2-3 sessions a week of resistance training for a minimum of 30 days.
What sort of cardio is best?
The answer is up to your preferences according to your fitness goals. The best form of cardio will be the one you enjoy and are most consistent with and matches your goals.
What exercises can I do to lose fat in a specific body part?
You cannot target where you can lose fat. This is call “spot reduction” and does not exist. Your genes are responsible for where your body stores fat and it’s the same for losing fat.
What age groups do you work with?
The here at Body Balance, train all ages from 9 – 99 years of age. We specialize in senior fitness.
What if I have specific injuries, old or new?
If you are working through an injury, we will work in conjunctions with your doctor or physical therapist to ensure that any movement program you undertake at Body Balance will steer you toward healing, healthy movement. For old, known injuries, we will work with you to ensure the same: that you progress toward health and away from pain and restricted movement as much as possible.

Which diet plan is the best?
There is not a “best” diet plan. There are many paths to maintaining a good diet and losing weight. The important thing is to understand that people are different in their tastes & lifestyles, but not in their body metabolisms by any large degree. It is good to be prepared to “experiment” and find what works best for you so that you can maintain a diet that avoids an excess of calories over your lifetime. ??
MASSAGE
What are the benefits of massage?
Massage can be a powerful tool to help you take charge of your health & well-being. Self care is critical to avoid serious problems that arise from body and mind stressors. Studies of the benefits of massage demonstrates that it is an effective treatment for reducing stress, pain & muscle tension, massage therapy will help us stay active and feel more energized. Aside from forcing us to slow down, if only for an hour, massage helps calm the nervous system improves blood circulation relieves muscle pain and can help with the side effects of conditions such as arthritis, sciatica, and muscle spasms.
How often should I get a massage?
It is wise to put massage therapy into your regular wellness program. Just like exercise and eating a healthy diet, massage therapy is an important part of our self care. We must be intentional about taking care of ourselves and if we want to live our best lives, we need to put self-care activities into our regular schedules. But how often should you get a massage? The frequency of your massage depends on a few factors: your physical and emotional needs and your stress levels. Getting a massage regularly will allow you to experience the most health benefits.
What types of massage therapy do you offer?
We offer traditional Swedish massage, deep tissue massage, and sports massage. We also offer other therapy treatments to add to your massage, such as cupping. Please see our Wellness Therapies page for a complete list of these specialized treatments, with an explanation of each.

PAY UP-FRONT: For single payments of Fitness, Massage & Nutrition appointments, payment is received upon appointment service. Packages on request, payment upfront, which may incur auto payment.
REOCCURRING AUTO-PAY; To keep you moving (without interruptions), your fitness plan is set up with monthly reoccurring auto-pay.
MONTH-TO-MONTH; Your fitness package is month-to-month and can be canceled or changed at any time with 14-day notice. No questions asked.
FLEXIBLE; Two times a year, you can decide to have a 2-week extension of your monthly Autopay to equal 45 days rather than 30 days. We know life gets in the way and being on vacation or sick or just time off, needs to be recognized.
