Carl Siu

Certified Personal Trainer

Carl first became serious about athletics while attending Lawndale High School in 1975; it was there that he pursued football, Polynesian dancing, and track and field. He was fortunate to have some “old school” coaches who emphasized power lifting as a solid foundation for athletic excellence, which he has carried into his adult life. His interests expanded to paddling outrigger canoes, softball, playing semi-pro football in Waimea, working as a lifeguard at the Mauna Lani Bay Resort, body building, Muay Thai, and boxing. He became a Certified Personal Trainer in 1991. In 2017 Carl began teaching formal boxing and kickboxing classes in Tracy. He was awarded “Best Martial Arts Instructor In Tracy” by The Tracy Press for 2017, 2018, and 2019 before the facility he was teaching at was forced to close due to COVID-19.

Carl’s joy is sharing his passion for fitness with people of all ages and abilities and watching them improve and enjoy greater health and quality of life as a result. Carl draws upon a wealth of knowledge, experience and keen listening skills to evaluate each client individually and form a plan of action to supports his clients in achieving their goals. He is a firm believer that a solid foundation in the basic movement patterns that are essential to power lifting are the key to longevity and injury prevention. He is the living embodiment of this belief. It is always his goal to give each individual the best workout they are capable of that day all while maintaining his “Aloha spirit”.
