Cruising At “65” to Infinity and Beyond

Cruising At “65” to Infinity and Beyond

I aspire to be fit and tone, but I am lazy at heart.  I can watch others exercise and admire their progress.  What did it take to motivate me to truly pursue being fit?  I can clearly remember 4 events that changed the direction of my “fitness life” in 2016:

    1. A friend recommending Body Balance massages on Facebook
    2. My failure to get “fit” on my own at 24 Hour Fitness
    3. Watching a Korean drama that depicted a woman’s fitness turnaround under the guidance of a trainer who believed in dedication to a custom exercise regimen and healthy eating
    4. Scheduling my first massage appointment with Kristi and that fateful meeting with John prior to the massage

At our first meeting, John encouraged me to do what I was thinking about, which is to get a fitness assessment.  His gentle nudging was enough for me to “just do it”.  Since February 2016, I have met my goals of achieving core strength, reducing my osteoporosis risk and improving my balance.  Along the way, I have learned to be a better listener to what my body is telling me regarding what it can and cannot do.  Thanks to John and Body Balance, I am having the best time enjoying being the most “fit” I’ve ever been (in 65 years).  My 2017-2018 goal is to tweek and maintain so I can go the distance to “infinity and beyond”.
